Privacy Policy

What we collect

ATS scanner: the resume file you upload is processed entirely in memory to generate your score and report. It is not written to disk. When the scanner asks for contact details, we may retain your name, email address, WhatsApp number, score, top improvement areas and scan reference so we can deliver the result and follow up.

If you choose “Connect my scan” and tick the optional result-card checkbox, we temporarily park your name, normalized WhatsApp number, score, up to three improvement areas, market tag, scan reference, campaign labels from the landing URL and timestamps. That pending record does not include the uploaded resume, extracted resume text, generated report or email address.

The same result-card choice may also queue one automated WhatsApp follow-up if you do not message us first. That queue contains your name, normalized WhatsApp number, score, one practical improvement tip, market tag, scan reference, consent version and timestamps. The checkbox is unticked by default, and the skip link creates no pending scan or follow-up record. The queue does not contain your resume, extracted text, report or email address.

WhatsApp ATS review: when you send a resume through the advertised WhatsApp ATS flow, the file is processed in request memory for file-readiness scoring. If the detailed AI review is enabled, email addresses, phone numbers and web links are removed from the extracted text before a bounded portion is sent to our AI service provider to identify evidence-backed spelling, section, clarity and achievement-writing improvements. The file and extracted text are not written to the conversation store.

Paid services: to write your resume we collect the career information you choose to share with us over WhatsApp or email (work history, education, skills, contact details). This is used only by us and the service providers needed to deliver the requested review or document service.

How we use it

We use your information only to deliver the service you asked for: generating your scan report, sending one WhatsApp scan follow-up when you explicitly request it, contacting you about your scan or order, producing an optional evidence-backed AI review, writing your documents, measuring website and advertising performance, and protecting the service from abuse. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use your resume content to train our own AI model.

Where your data lives

Scan lead forms are stored by Netlify and delivered to our business email (Gmail). Pending scanner-to-WhatsApp records are stored in a separate Netlify Blobs store. Consented automated follow-ups and opt-out preferences use dedicated Netlify Blobs stores. Client documents and conversations live in WhatsApp and email. A bounded, contact-redacted portion of extracted resume text (with email, phone and web links removed) may be processed by Anthropic when the optional detailed AI review is enabled. Our website is hosted on Netlify, which keeps standard access logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

Payments

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or banking details go directly to Razorpay and are governed by their privacy policy — we never see or store payment credentials. We receive only a confirmation of payment with basic transaction details.

How long we keep it

A pending scanner-to-WhatsApp record can be used for 24 hours. After that it is ignored, although the small underlying record may remain in storage until it is overwritten, removed during a later interaction or deleted manually. Automated follow-up queue records are deleted after seven days. A minimal opt-out marker is retained so we can respect a request to stop future automated WhatsApp follow-ups. Other scan leads, client resume drafts and final documents are retained for follow-up, revisions and future updates unless you ask us to delete them. To request deletion or change your WhatsApp preference, message us on WhatsApp or email resumecraftindia@gmail.com; we will handle the request within 7 days.

Analytics and advertising measurement

We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand visits, scanner completions and important service actions. The Meta Pixel is restricted to our production domain and does not run on Netlify preview or local-development sites. A scanner-completion event includes the market tag (for example, “gcc”) and a broad score band (for example, “needs work”), but never your exact score, your resume text or the file you uploaded.

Some of these measurement events are also sent to Meta from our own server through Meta’s Conversions API, so that a conversion is still counted when a browser extension blocks the in-page pixel. Each event carries a random reference so the browser and server copies of the same action are counted once, not twice. Those server-sent events include your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the identifiers Meta’s own cookies have already set on this site, and any campaign labels in the link you arrived through.

When you submit the scanner contact form, the email address and WhatsApp number you provide are also included in that server-sent event as irreversible SHA-256 hashes, so Meta can recognise an existing customer without us disclosing the values themselves. The unhashed details never leave our own systems for this purpose. If you would rather this did not happen, you can use the scanner without submitting the contact form, or contact us to ask us to delete your data.

These providers may process identifiers or set cookies under their own privacy terms.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below. We comply with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
